In response to the Merrill Area Public Schools’ long-range financial planning initiative and community input on strategies to address the funding gap for priority programming, staffing and building maintenance, the School Board has authorized an Operating Referendum for community vote on April 3, 2018.

The proposed operating referendum will cost $2.5 million, for each of the next 4 years

Funding will support industrial & technical education, sustain current programs and high-quality staff, and priority building maintenance

If approved by voters, the referendum will cost an estimated $6.00 per year for each $100,000 of property value, over the current 2017-18 school tax levy
