How to Enroll in Merrill Area Public Schools
Directions for Merrill Residents:
-
Skyward New Student Online Enrollment is used to enroll all students interested in attending MAPS.
- If you are already a parent/guardian of a MAPS student, please visit Skyward Family Access to enroll any additional students needing to attend the district. Specific directions can be found here.
- If you moved to a new address within the Merrill School District, requiring a school change, there is no need to enroll again. Please notify Lori Ugolini at lori.ugolini@mapsedu.org of this change, and your information will be made available to the new school. Please note that you will be asked to provide new residency information.
- If your family is new to Merrill Area Public Schools, click here to begin the enrollment process. Specific directions can be found here.
- Please keep in mind legal names, phone numbers, and addresses of any parents/guardians, along with emergency contacts will be needed when completing this process. You will be able to save your progress and return at a later time if necessary.
- All parents/guardians of elementary-aged students will be contacted by the district to notify you of your child's placement.
Directions for Non-Residents:
- Merrill Area Public Schools participates in the Wisconsin Open Enrollment Program, in which residents can apply to attend a district other than the one in which they reside.
- The annual application period is from the first Monday in February through the last Friday in April. Applications will be available online here during the application period. Although an online application is recommended, paper applications may be obtained from the State Department of Public Instruction and must be delivered (hand delivery is recommended) to the non-resident school district of choice.
