Students have an opportunity to increase their self-knowledge by taking a variety of assessments relating to their interests and academic abilities. These tests and inventories can provide a basis for educational and career planning.
The best preparation for the ACT is an academically challenging schedule of courses. MHS students also have access to Method Test Prep, which can be found in Career Cruising. Additionally, the Student Services office hosts free practice exams each winter to allow students to become familiar with the pacing and structure of the ACT. The dates of the practice exams vary year-to-year, and will be shared via email with Juniors, discussed in Jay Talks, and on the daily announcements. All Juniors are strongly encouraged to attend at least one practice exam
