Our members all became Green Bandana certified, which means they are trained to recognize when a peer may be struggling, offer a supportive listening ear, and connect them with a trusted adult or appropriate resources.
They also helped create clothespins for Random Acts of Kindness Week to spread positivity next week at the high school.
We truly have the most compassionate students here in Merrill! 💚 #WeAreMAPS

We are also reminding our students how important it is to express gratitude each and every day. When we focus on what we are thankful for, we help create a more positive, supportive school community. 💕

Positive Behavior Recognition!
Each week, our school will be holding a special rewards drawing to recognize positive behavior. Two students from each grade level will be selected at random for demonstrating respectful choices and going the week without any behavior write-ups. We’re excited to celebrate students who are helping make our school is a welcoming and productive place for everyone!
This week we celebrate
5th Grade - Nona Nelson and Avila Love
6th Grade - Greyson Bushar and Kylee Bogdonovich
7th Grade - Kennedy Hess and Aaron Jaeger
8th Grade - Claire Ziebell and Colton Van Leishout
New for Second Semester!

These amazing ladies go above and beyond every single day to support our students academically, socially, and emotionally. Whether it’s offering a listening ear, helping students navigate challenges, celebrating successes, or simply being a steady, caring presence, they do it all with compassion and dedication.
Our counselors truly help make Prairie River Middle School a place where students feel supported, valued, and ready to succeed. Thank you for all you do for our students and school community, we appreciate you more than words can say!

Mrs. Dahlquist’s and Ms. Danielle’s Morning Huddles came together in the true spirit of Christmas to decorate cookies, listen to Christmas music, and enjoy some sweet time together.
A special shoutout to Ms. Danielle’s mom, affectionately known as Grandma Gail by the kids, for donating the homemade cookies and frosting ❤️.

Our 6th and 7th graders rang bells at Dave’s County Market last week! They sang their hearts out while helping raise money for the Salvation Army.
We’re so proud of their generosity and spirit!

Raise Your Voice club, which will focus on raising mental health awareness,
empowering students, promoting mental health resources, developing advocates
and leaders, and creating an overall greater dialogue for mental health and
wellness in our school community.

Our PRMS students and staff came together in a BIG way and donated 2,081 pounds of food to the Merrill Food Pantry and our very own PRMS Nest!
But that’s not all — thanks to funds raised by our incredible PRMS Student Council, we were also able to donate twenty 14-pound turkeys to the Merrill Food Pantry!
And because we crushed our 2,000-pound goal… get ready!
Mr. Lemmens, Mrs. Schultz, Mrs. Wroblewski, and Ms. Danielle will all be getting pied in the face by students soon!
Stay tuned for that sweet (and messy!) moment!
Way to go, PRMS!
