MERRILL, Wis. — The Merrill Area Public Schools Board of Education is currently accepting applications to fill a limited-term vacancy created by the open seat of Lin Kautza.
Interested electors of the district are invited to submit a letter of interest and resume to the Merrill Area Public School District Office, 1111 North Sales Street, Merrill, WI 54452, no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.
As part of the application process, candidates will also be asked to complete two written questions prior to interviews, which are scheduled to take place on June 3, 2026.
Any qualified elector of the district who submits the required materials prior to the deadline will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Individuals convicted of felonies will not be considered for appointment.
Following the interview process, the Board of Education may appoint an individual to fill the limited-term position through April 2027.
