Student Issued Technology Devices
Each student is issued a 1:1 technology device to use while enrolled in the MAPS district. We want our students to have access to exciting new ways to learn and be challenged and hope to provide them with the technology skills they need to achieve their future plans.
Our goal is for MAPS students to use the same device consistently throughout their educational career. The Chromebook they receive in Middle School will be the device they turn in before going to High School. High School students should have the same device from Freshman to Senior year. Student-issued technology devices remain the property of Merrill Area Public Schools and must be returned in good working condition when students leave the district.
We expect our students to use care with technology devices and learn to use them safely as they progress through our curriculum. Technology use and internet safety lessons are included at all grade levels.
