Robust Infrastructure

Ensures Equitable Digital Access

Provides and advocates for equitable access to collection tools using digital resources, programming, and services in support of the school district’s strategic vision.

Current & Prior Practices

  • Currently a one-to-one school district, where each student has an iPad a device.

  • Provide 24/7 access to online databases and resources on our library websites and student links.

  • Members of the Wisconsin Schools Digital Library Consortium (WSDLC) which provides 24/7 access to thousands of downloadable eBooks and audio books.

  • Technology Help Desk available during school hours and limited summer hours.

  • LTS staff provide daily IT assistance with troubleshooting technology issues that arise & process repairs of student and staff devices.

  • LTS, IT staff, and Curriculum and Instruction maintain appropriate workflows and processes for app requests and online curriculum requests/subscriptions.

Possible Areas for Growth

  • Solidify 1-to-1 devices for MAPS support staff.

  • Investigate how we can move towards equitable access to wifi across the district.

  • Invest in more resources that work offline for students that do not have internet access at home.

  • Develop a systematic vetting process for large technology equipment purchases.

  • Create a process for off-boarding apps from Self Service that are no longer needed by staff and students.
