Provides and advocates for equitable access to collection tools using digital resources, programming, and services in support of the school district’s strategic vision.
Current & Prior Practices
Currently a one-to-one school district, where each student has
an iPada device.Provide 24/7 access to online databases and resources on our library websites and student links.
Members of the Wisconsin Schools Digital Library Consortium (WSDLC) which provides 24/7 access to thousands of downloadable eBooks and audio books.
Technology Help Desk available during school hours and limited summer hours.
LTS staff provide daily IT assistance with troubleshooting technology issues that arise & process repairs of student and staff devices.
LTS, IT staff, and Curriculum and Instruction maintain appropriate workflows and processes for app requests and online curriculum requests/subscriptions.
Possible Areas for Growth
Solidify 1-to-1 devices for MAPS support staff.
Investigate how we can move towards equitable access to wifi across the district.
Invest in more resources that work offline for students that do not have internet access at home.
Develop a systematic vetting process for large technology equipment purchases.
Create a process for off-boarding apps from Self Service that are no longer needed by staff and students.
