As the 2020-2021 school year is kicking off, we realize that some families might need assistance purchasing school supplies for their Merrill High School student. Based on generous donations provided by the Merrill community, we are continuing the “Fill-a-Backpack” program. This program has no specific income requirements, but is to assist families who might need some help during this time.
To sign up for this program, you will simply have to fill out the “Fall 2020 Fill-a-Backpack” Google form. The link to this survey will be posted on Merrill High School’s Facebook page, on the “Student Services” tab on Merrill High School’s website and will be sent home via an email. Please look to one of these places to fill out this form. Identifying information is requested, but will be kept confidential within the Student Services staff. In this form there are items that current MHS high school students recommend that each student may need. Supply lists based on individual teacher requests is available on the MHS website under the “Academics” tab as well.
We are thankful for the support the Merrill community has provided and our ability to offer this program. Please do not hesitate to take advantage of this wonderful program if your family is in need. We would ask that all requests be made by Wednesday August 19th, 2020. Backpacks will be placed in student’s lockers the week of August 24th, 2020. The Nest, Merrill High School’s food and clothing pantry, will also be a resource that will continue to be available throughout the school year.
If you have any questions, please contact Allie Libby, MHS School Counselor at alexandra.libby@mapsedu.org or 715-536-4594 ext 18017.
